S&P 500 August Statistics

According to the Stock Trader's Almanac, for the last 19 years, August has been the worst month of the year for the S&P 500.
The average change is 0%.
The average change in a pre-election year is 1.4%.
The first 9 days of the month are historically weak.
August expiration day (8/17 of this year) was up 3 in a row, but down 10 of 13 years before recent bullishness. (Note: make that 4 in a row.)
The end of the month is very bad: 6/10 last years were down the last 5 days for an average loss of 2.3% (Monday 8/27 - Friday 8/31 of this year).
8/30 next to last day is particularly bad, up only once in last 10 years.
